Another great finalization!

Last week we had another wonderful finalization. This is one of the best parts of the adoption experience. Baby Braxton took his parents with him to court to finalize his adoption. Braxton's Uncle Brock is their attorney, and the hearing was with Supreme Court Justice Michael Wilkins. These hearings are always wonderful, but Justice Wilkins made it a very personal, positive experience. He also made a very sweet comment that I will always remember. He looked at me and said, "Please tell Braxton's birth mother how proud I am of her and what courage it took for her to make this great decision. She is to be commended." It was very touching, and I can't wait to let Braxton's sweet birth mom, Lindsay, know that a Supreme Court Justice acknowledged and admires her decision to place Braxton with Brooks and Mandy. They are great parents and that court room was definitely full of love that day!

  2. Hooray! I love to see another successful adoption story! We had a great experience with Heart to Heart, and say so any time anyone asks. We would love to be added to your adoptive family blogs list. Our website is http://web.mac.com/beverlysoutas/SoutasFamily/Welcome.html
We have a section dedicated to our adoptive experience, and our birth mom has even added a comment or two as she checks it out occasionally! A belated thanks to the (double) joy you brought our family (twin girls)!
