Cheers!

The holiday season is in full swing bringing family, friends, and loved ones together. We are all balancing a multitude of happy tasks: shopping, decorating, cooking, gift giving, volunteering....and the list goes on and on. But all this merriment can add stress to the home faster than you can say "yuletide cheer"! Here are a few suggestions to lessen the stress and increase the holly and jolly in your life...


SPEND TIME WITH LOVED ONES. Forget bearing gifts and visiting loved ones -- just visit! It has been said the "greatest present is your presence." Be present in the moment and re-connect with those you care about most.


  • SHHHH! Get quiet. Regroup and recharge by having a peaceful moment - and include your family. Spend just an hour with each person having their own brand of"quiet time"; reading, playing quietly, resting, soaking in a tub. Give yourself-and others-a true break.


  • KEEP IT SIMPLE. Money worries add stress more than just about anything else. Stay within your budget and simplify. Everything!


  • BE REALISTIC. Keep your expectations of yourself - and others - within realistic limits. Sometimes imperfection is what makes the holiday just perfect!
